Jaz Mcleod

I am 17 years old and living in the deep south of New Zealand, Invercargill. I first started cycling when I was 11 years old and raced my first road tour a few weeks later. From that moment, I grew a real passion for cycling. Along with road cycling, I have also done well in track, competing in many national events and gaining multiple medals over the years.

Loving the opportunity to race for BMWC as the team and coaches have the same inspiration for cycling as I do, with a passionate interest in growing female cycling as a sport. To bring my cycling to the next level, being in a team environment will help me achieve these goals with plenty of new learnings on my journey.

My ultimate goals would have to be racing over in Europe and one day to make a world pro women’s team, also to inspire other young cyclists to follow their dreams.

I love watching the New Zealand girls racing overseas as they all race with a real passion and are strong at different aspects of the sport. Mikayla Harvey and Niamh Fisher-Black have had a phenomenal start to the season and a real inspiration for motivation.
